Fun at the Park

This little cutie is 2 years old already and I can't believe where time has gone! I photographed her when she was a newborn! Watching her grow over these last 2 years has been such a pleasure and I feel like part of her family. It is the greatest feeling getting to watch babies grow into children and be part of their lives while documenting their growth! I love my job and I really miss being in Houston for this reason! I will really miss watching all of these little ones grow! I hope to continue to travel back so I can have sessions for all of my dedicated clients! I was stuck in traffic for over an hour on my way to this session, so thanks so much to her mommy for understanding and being so flexible!!

Catching Up!

So it's been 2 weeks since my last update and I am so far behind! I have been travelling with my family, so I partially have an excuse:) Anyhow, I have some great sessions to post on from August and September. I am getting ready to create my Christmas card templates for this season as well as organize my first mini sessions in Nashville. I will be travelling back to Houston for a mini session in November so I am super excited for that and to see all of my clients in Houston! Yeah...so much to look forward to in the upcoming months!!

Here is a peak at an absolutely gorgeous family who I shot at their home. On my way there it was POURING down rain and I thought I was going to have to cancel. One of the couples here lives in Denver so it was going to be VERY difficult to get them together again for a session. So, we took some indoor shots in the dark living room...with flash (which I HATE:), and then miraculously the sun came out and we got a few awesome shots outside at the end! I was so happy it stopped raining!!! They turned out great and we had lots of fun!

Another Newborn Beauty

Here is the other newborn beauty that I had the pleasure of working with in Houston last week. She was 3 weeks old here and just as sweet as could be. Her mommy and daddy are from Oklahoma, so they are big OU fans...so I had to get one shot with the OU hat. We transformed her front room in her house into a mini studio and took over. She slept the entire time and was just a natural! Thanks so much Miss T for being such a wonderful model and letting me play with you for a few hours! I will miss you and can't wait to see you again in a couple months!!

PRECIOUS!

I had the pleasure of flying to Houston a couple weeks ago after 2 of my friends had and adopted babies. Both of them-girls-and both of them the cutest and sweetest girls ever! I brought an entire suitcase for just these newborn photos and spent some time at each of their houses just having all kinds of fun. Fortunately these sessions were inside as it was 106 degrees on the Saturday I was there for my outdoor sessions. Those were a bit toasty and steamy. I will post those sessions in the next few days. For now, please enjoy this precious little angel! I am so happy for this family and was so excited the timing worked out that I got to take her newborn photos while I was in town!

Vintage Lullaby

This past weekend I met this little guy who was an absolute angel. He was born at a cuddly 9 pounds and I just didn't want to put him down! I have been anxiously awaiting his arrival as he was a few days over his due date. He is just PERFECT. Thanks so much mommy and daddy for letting me into your home to spend the morning photographing your little angel! I attended a seminar on Friday and learned a few new styles of editing that I wanted to experiment with in these photos. I am calling the color method, vintage lullaby (Images 1, 3, 5 below). It gives a soft milky skin tone and a hint of vintage in it's faded color. I really like the way it looks! Leave a comment and let me know what you think!

New Newborn Hats

Coming from a very sports oriented family, I like to cater to my sports loving clients! Since moving to Franklin, TN, I wanted to update my newborn hat collection and these are the teams I have found to be popular to this area. I will always add to my collection upon client requests so if you have any other teams you want me to add, please let me know!

Little Miss

This little one was so much fun this past weekend. Usually 2 year olds are quite challenging and constantly need a change of scenery, but she was such an angel and so cooperative! Here are a few of my favorite shots...all candid of course:)

Little Butterfly

This angel was born 3 weeks ago and she was just perfect! I had so much fun getting all of my girly newborn stuff out for the session since my move to Nashville. Despite the overcast skies the photos turned out fantastic and the lighting was perfect. I just couldn't get enough of her!!!

Houston Visit...

I will be doing full sessions in late August but they will be outdoors due to my lack of having a studio there now. Baby Cruz has arrived!

I had the pleasure of photographing this angel a couple of weeks ago in Memphis, TN. His mother is a dear friend of mine and I have been looking forward to meeting him for 9 months:) He was absolutely perfect in every possible way! I had so much fun and his photos turned out beautiful! I had so many to choose from so it was very difficult to pick just a few for this post, but here are a few that I love! His mommy and daddy met in New Orleans and are avid Saints fans, so I had to bring my N.O. gear! Don't worry I'm still a Colts fan through and through...but I try to accommodate my friends and clients as best as I can with my props:)

His big sis is so proud and was such a doll for these photos! Most toddler siblings don't cooperate as well as she did and I couldn't have asked for a better model!

Thanks Brooks family for starting my Tennessee journey! I look forward to more to come now that I am finally settled here in southern Nashville!

Studio S is Closing its doors...

Dear Studio S Clients and Friends-

I have some surprising and very unexpected news to share with you all. My husband has accepted a position with a company in Nashville, TN and we will be relocating there in a few weeks. Our home is on the market and we will be entertaining showings with realtors and all that goes with showing a house, so I will not be able to do anymore sessions. Adorable little guy!

This little guy is only one week old and he has a full head of hair!! He was so precious and slept during his entire session. His mommy had lots of ideas and I love using new ideas and props. These were just a few of my favorites. (We couldn't get the little frown off his face no matter what we tried! It was still adorable!)

Tinkerbell Time!

This cutie is having a Tinkerbell themed birthday party for her first birthday and she makes the most precious little fairy!! She didn't like putting on her costume, but you would never know it from these photos! She is so sweet!! Happy Birthday little tink!

Babies babies and more babies

I feel like I have been meeting so many newborns over the last month and half! Maybe it's because that is what I have been limiting my photography to since the birth of my newest child in January. I will be back full force in 2 weeks taking photos again of all ages! But, I can't help but to love the babies I have been meeting and working with! This precious little girl worked hard for her photo shoot and even posed with her big brother for some pics. She got tired towards the end but we managed to get lots of adorable shots of her!
