Maternity in hot humid June!

This gorgeous woman is expecting her third child on July 14th! She has opted not to find out the gender and I am so excited for her! So many people can't handle not knowing, and I think it's an unbelievable experience not knowing until he/she is born! Here are just a few of my favorite pics from today's session in the June heat of Tennessee! She was such a trooper and barely even sweat! I can't wait to meet baby #3 in a few weeks!!!

 

Ideas for future brides...

Someone gave me the idea to have girls dress up in their mommy's wedding dress when they are about 5-6 years old and then take their photos in it. Then...someday when they get married, have the images displayed at their wedding. I thought this was brilliant! I did it with my neice last weekend and they were stunning! Thanks Madalyn for letting me have some fun with you and your mommy's dress!!! You will have one awesome album to share at your wedding:)

Little man is 10 months...

This little guy belongs to one of my friend's in Franklin, TN and he is always the sweetest, happiest baby when I see him! I could've snuggled him and taken pics of him forever! He just smiled, laughed, explored, and we had a great time. I can't wait until his one year session when I can spend some more time with him and smash into a cake! Until then...here is a sneak peak of his precious smiles...

Sweetness in TN

I am so thankful that this family found me in their search for a newborn photographer! They were so much fun to work with and just the sweetest couple ever! Their handsome little boy was such a joy to work with as well and let me do all kinds of fun portraits of him! Thanks so much to Mr. and Mrs. O and I hope you enjoy these images as much as I am!

 I used to make collages for all of my clients and got out of the habit of doing them. I am going to make an effort to do them for all of my clients from now on and here are just a few that I made for this fam...

Happy 1st Birthday Jackson!

I love this little guy and was so excited to do his one year shoot! He's the most precious little guy with the sweetest faces ever! His mommy is one of my best friends here in TN and I'm just so happy to have met such an awesome family! I love you guys and Happy Birthday little Jack!

I had a difficult time deciding between over one hundred proofs, but these were just a few of my favorites. There were SOO many more good ones!

Adorable Washtub boys

These boys belong to one of my best friends and she had this awesome idea for these washtub pics. We decided to do them outside to avoid a flood in my studio and it worked out perfectly. They had a ball and couldn't have turned out cuter! I can't wait to photograph little Jack's one year pics in the next week! He's so precious!! Thanks boys for a great session!!

TN News/Updates

Most of you who know me already know the latest based on my website and Facebook, but in case you don't...here is the latest.

I have decided to focus my photography on newborns in TN. I have altered my business structure to a flat rate system that includes session fees and the CD with all images. Prints and other items are still available, but the session fee now includes the CD.  I will also still plan to hold mini sessions in the fall for holiday sessions, since that is by far my busiest time of year, but the remaining part of the year will be spent focusing on newborn photography and my family. I've realized that the time we have with our children is too precious and it goes way too fast. Although I LOVE photography, it does take a tremendous amount of time away from my family not just during the shoot, but also to edit the images. This is why I have decided to alter the system to a flat rate.

Thanks to everyone who has supported me over the last few years and allowed me to expand my talent and passion! I look forward to working with you again as well as meeting new clients!

Tennessee Babies

I had the pleasure of meeting this gorgeous baby last week and I had to quickly turn my office into a studio for her session. For those of you who don't know, I am living in a temporary house until my house gets built so I don't have a studio set up. Our rental house is for sale so we have to have it 'show ready' at all times, therefore I cannot have my normal studio set up. Anyhow, I pulled everything out of the boxes one last time before the big move in a couple days for this gorgeous little girl. Her mom was so sweet and patient and she slept the entire time letting me have all kinds of fun! Here are just a few of my favorites! I just got this new hat from a local lady at a Christmas festival in Franklin. It's super cute for pics!!

And of course most of my headbands come from my amazing, talented cousin, Jennifer with Punky Bear Couture. She has an etsy shop if you're interested in adorable headbands in all sizes.

Another Tennessee Baby Boy

This precious newborn boy's mommy lives very close to me and I know her sister through a friend. Her sister referred her to me and I am so thankful that I got to meet her and her adorable little family. They moved into a new home days before he was born and then had the stresses of moving on top of a new life in the mix. They were blessed with this adorable little angel and all other cares were pushed aside! Thanks so much Miss J for letting me capture such a special time and get these amazing photos!

So this first image is probably my all time favorite newborn image ever! I have tried the tie thing in the past, but his hat just topped it off!
