So, my good friend Sarah is expecting a little girl, Lillian in April and we are so excited to add another little girl to the group! Sophie, my daughter, is so outnumbered! Sarah, Rob, and little Ryan wanted some family pics before Lillian arrived and we were fortunate enough to have a gorgeous day last Saturday with temps reaching 70 degrees! Her little boy, Ryan, will be 2 in June and he never likes to smile for me. Regardless, he's SO adorable as you can see in these pics!! Above-Finally-A beautiful smile out of little Ryan!

Even without the smiles, he's one of the most beautiful little boys I've ever met! His eyes are so breathtaking just like his mama's!

Easter Mini Sessions Are Full!

Thanks so much for the overwhelming response to the Easter Mini Sessions! They are completely booked at this time. There are no openings available unless there is a cancellation. If you would like to be put on a waiting list in the event of a cancellation, please send me an email. I will have a few sessions on Sunday, the 14th in the afternoon, however these will be limited. Thanks again for your response and I look forward to the mini sessions!

Easter Mini Sessions!

Attention to anyone who is interested in this year's Easter Mini Sessions: They will be a first come first serve sign-up for March 13th. They will only be held on this day, Saturday, March 13th all day. The Valentine's Day mini sessions were booked within 2 days of posting so please email me as soon as you decide if you are interested! You will be tentatively scheduled upon email until payment is received to lock-in your time slot.

Easter Mini Session Details:

When: Saturday, March 13th, 2010
Time: Every 15-20 minutes beginning at 8:30am. The last appointment will be at 3:30pm.
Details: OUTDOOR SESSION weather pending. In the event of rain, the sessions will be rescheduled, or refunded if you cannot reschedule.
Location: Studio S will have an outdoor set designed and landscaped specific for this session at Studio S.
What to Wear: Have your child wear anything casual or dressed up with bright colors for the Easter holiday!
Who can attend: Due to the nature of outdoor photos, I recommend your child is old enough to sit up independently. (Most babies begin sitting at 5-6 months). If your child cannot sit up independently or with back support of a chair/bench, it is not recommended that you sign-up for this session!
Cost: $50.00
What's Included: 15-20 minute session, One 8x10 print OR 8-Wallets, One 5x7 print, and 3 Digital Files Emailed to you.

Maternity Central...

I'm still catching up with blogging on my previous sessions. Since I am out of town for over a week, I will be able to finally catch up with everything! Here are a few pics from 2 maternity sessions that I did a couple weeks ago. These girls are both adorable and I loved both of their husbands too! We had a lot of fun and I can't talk about the Colts to them anymore! I can't wait to meet both of their little ones in March!

The Miller Family

So this family made the mistake of telling me just how great of fans they were of the Colts, so I got super excited and had some fun with them! Their little girl, Mallory, was an absolute doll!! She didn't really like getting her pictures taken though. However, I was able to capture some really cute ones of her! She is 3 months and just too sweet! Go COLTS!!

Okay...so they are really Saints fans...but I loved them to death anyhow! It was great meeting you guys and I look forward to working with you in the future. May the best team win!!! LOL

Valentine's Day Sessions Concluded!

Thank you so much to everyone who participated in the Valentine's Day mini sessions this past weekend!! It was a hit and went very smooth despite the overcast weather and poor lighting that brought with it! I met some awesome kiddos and had a great time! Pancakes and Pajamas 2010

I will be photographing at this years 2010 Pancakes and Pajamas Children's Festival, presented by the Fort Bend Junior Service League and Texas Children's Hospital. The event will be on February 6th, 2010 from 9:00am until 1:00pm at The Honor Roll School in Sugar Land. The theme this year is Wacky Wonka and the Pancake Factory. When you view your proofs online, you can click the picture, and add any prints, packages, and/or any digital files that you would like to purchase and pay online or by check! Matt and Bre's Engagement

Two of my dear friends from Kansas City, Matt and Bre, got engaged recently and will be celebrating their big day on April 10th, 2010. We spent MLK weekend with them in Colorado for a weekend vacation and I took some engagement pics for them. Congrats you two! I love you guys and can't wait for the big day!!

You can come to the studio and have a 15-20 minute mini-session with the Valentine's Day theme, get a 5x7 print, and 3 digital files all for only $40.00! The sessions can include one or all of your children. The proofs will be edited in time to receive the digital files in time to make your own Valentine's Day cards, prints, or whatever you choose to use them for.

Sweet Sweet Baby

The McDonald Family visited my studio this past week and I had so much fun working with them and getting to photograph their new little package! Ethan was such a good newborn to photograph and he let me do all kinds of fun poses with him! He was content the entire time and was a 100% natural model! Thanks Ethan...and Kelly & Chris for letting me work with you! You have such a sweetie and so much to look forward to! BTW-Over the holidays, my aunt taught me how to crochet so that I could stop spending money on all my props, hats, cocoons, etc. So-she made this blue set along with a couple others, but now, I am on a role and I have since made them in about every color!! Thanks Cathy!

Little Ashlynn, 3 mos

I know I am long overdue in postings...but since I have been out of town the past 5 weekends, the studio has been closed thus no pics to post! I did manage to squeeze in a few sessions during the week in between travels this past week. I had the pleasure of working with this little doll, Ashlynn. She didn't want to smile unless the camera was put away, but she looks adorable regardless! Thanks Ashlynn for being such a sweet baby to work with and I hope I get to work with you again in the future!!

Bluebonnet Day in March

Hey Everyone! The studio has been closed the last couple of weeks due to me traveling way too much! I will be gone again this weekend so if you would like to make an appointment, please call my studio and leave a message or email me at lauren.simpson@ymail.com.

I am planning on dedicating a day or two in the spring to drive to Brenham and take multiple family/children/senior/engagement/etc. pics in a field of bluebonnets. These will be mini (20 minute) sessions and at a cheaper rate then a regular session.

I am looking at the last weekend in March currently. March 27th. If this is something that might interest you for a Texas tradition or just for the beauty of the bluebonnets, please email and let me know so that I can plan on how much time and how many days to dedicate to this.

Brenham is about 1 1/2 hours from Houston, so you will be responsible for driving there. You can feel free to bring a picnic and/or snacks to have while you are there to enjoy the scenery as well!
